There are Crafting Spheres that a craftsman gets to pick when they start. They are:
Weapons
Shields
Arrows
Bows
Rings
Potions
Craft (The Skill)- This represents a craftman's actual ability to create items. The level of this skill determines how fast they do someting. Like magic, you combine this skill with a sphere to produce the end result. Unlike magic, this skill does not make the crafting any better, just faster. It works like this:
LvL 1 : 50 seconds
LvL 2 : 40 seconds
LvL 3 : 30 seconds
LvL 4 : 20 seconds
This crafting is psuedo-magical, thus the speed with which it is done, however, they must roleplay constructing the item while they chant out loud. Player made item cards are Orange, and must be initialled by the craftsman themself or the TradeMaster.
Crafting Spheres-
These can be combined with the Craft Skill to make items.
And for every rank you can craft these items in different ways.
Weapons:
LvL 1 : 1-handers
LvL 2 : bastard
LvL 3 : 2-handers
LvL 4 : polearms
LvL 5 : masterwork
Shields:
LvL 1 : small
LvL 2 : medium
LvL 3 : large
LvL 4 : tower
LvL 5 : masterwork
Arrows: (see arrow creation in "Bow System")
Bows:
LvL 1 : -2 bows
LvL 2 : -1 bow
LvL 3 : +0 bow
LvL 4 : +1 bow
LvL 5 : masterwork
Rings:
LvL 1 : poor rings
LvL 2 : finer rings
LvL 3 : +1 ring (hp/sp)
LvL 4 : +2 ring (hp/sp)
LvL 5 : masterwork
To craft rings that grant +1 or +2 you must either give up .5 creation per +1 or you must give the equivalent of those +'s from your own stats, exluding sp from your Training/Practice. Also, any player can only wear one player-crafted ring at any one time, except a craftsman can wear up to 3 that they've made.
Potions:
LvL 1 : Refill Potion (+1)
LvL 2 : Refill Potion (+2)
LvL 3 : Enhancement Potion (+1)
LvL 4 : Enhancement Potion (+2)
LvL 5 : Refill Potion (+3)
LvL 6 : Enhancement Potion (+3)
Refill Potions- a potion that doesn't have the power to bring you beyond your maximum, only up to it.
Enhancement Potions- a potion that can refill your lost points, but can also temporarily increase your max, however the temporarily increased points are the first to go when used, and dissapear after their use.
Training/Practice- Craftsmen, in addition to their crafting skills, have a skill called Training or Practice. This represents their expertise in their fields, the same way that Arcana represesnts a mages'. However, this skill's application is to give them 5 more SP per Lvl, however they can only be used to craft. This is not an activated skill, but a passive ability.
When a craftsman level's up their skills (like a mancer) they must have their craft skill and (at least one) of their crafting spheres no more off from each other than by one level.
