Sorry about this, but I have a ton of them...thats right....
Trinity Questions:
Will there be a character sheet?
Can you summarize what I need to spend my creation points, it's difficult to locate everything, and easy to forget something.
What does shield negate?
Do life spells work the same way as damage spells, or do they regenerate hit points?
Are there/will there be spells, or will it just be a general spell of that sphere that does damage. Is there any difference between any of the spheres of magic?
If I have level 1 Parry I can only parry once? Does level 2 cost me 2 creation points?
Did you mean for Brittonians to cost the same amount as Empire?
How benificial is the bonus from your Economic status? There are few creation points to spend, and it's hard to know exactly how important your social class is. How difficult is it to get 6 creation points to increase your class later?
Do I spend skill points to use skills? Is there a difference between skills and feats? Do non casters have any use for sp?
Berserk says it has a negative bonus to your hp...what is the negative bonus?
Resist says it only counters damage feats, but barrier dosn't. Does that mean barrier counters non-damage feats also?
When can I Take what? Can I take something at any point when not engaged from someone's hands? Do they know I took it? Does this mean I can't actually take something out of someone's hands? What if my character could in-game force it out of their hands? Is there going to be a feat/skill to do that?
There's a penalty to not using a weapon you're proficient with, what if I use a shield? How much training does it actually take a person to use a shield anyway =P?
Can I have a shield on my arm and still use a 2-handed weapon or a polearm?
Undercombat system it says polearms deal 3 damage and forearm weapons deal 4, but under weapons it says 2 handed weapons deal 3, and polearms deal 4, and dosn't mention forearm weapons. Will there be an easy way to distinguish between 2 handed and bastard, and does a bastard sword deal two damage if I use it one handed? Why does it cost more points to become proficient with a two handed weapon than a one handed one even though in reality a two handed weapon isn't thrice as difficult to use.
Is there any way I can use two weapons at once? Do I take proficiency in the weapon twice, or does once suffice, or can I not do it at all?
Does the description "bastard" mean what it means in reality, 1 or 2 handed, or does it only apply to the damage?
What are the specifications for boffers?
Can a sword be peircing or slashing, or both? Do I have to pay for it twice for it to be both? Do I have to use it properly for it to deal damage?
Does my thrust with a piercing weapon get the +1 bonus even if I slash with it?
What happens when my HP reaches 0? Can it go below 0? Can my character die? Can they be resurrected?
With supression damage, do I go unconsious when the supression damage is equal to my current HP, or my max HP?
If my limb is severed, does it grow back? Do I lose my limb forever?
Is there any armor in the game, and if so does it do anything. It's mentioned in the shield feat. If i'm not wearing armor and I don't have a shield can I still use the feat?
Is it just me, or does rally suck? Does the bonus increase for the level of rally you have?
What kind of spell a touched ranged spell? (mentioned in parry). Are there going to be lots of spells...?
When I cast a damage spell, does it just hit the person, or do I throw something at them, or what? Do I touch them? How far away can I be?
Finally, what happened to not having levels =P?
Sorry about all those....hope you have fun answering all that. For the record, I think it may be a good idea to write the rules more clearly at some point.

Ok Mike, first, I would like to thank you for actually getting involved, and secondly, I would like to kill you for asking all of these questions, but here goes nothing:
Will there be a character sheet? Yes
Can you summarize what I need to spend my creation points, it's difficult to locate everything, and easy to forget something. Race, Class, Weap Profs, Economic Stat, and Skill/Feat Lvls
What does shield negate? Damage and combat strikes
Do life spells work the same way as damage spells, or do they regenerate hit points? Life spells cause the target to regain hit points instantly, depending on the Harbringers level of it and cast
Are there/will there be spells, or will it just be a general spell of that sphere that does damage. Is there any difference between any of the spheres of magic? There are basic spells of each sphere, but they are non-combat and still cost sp, also, in the realm of trinity magic is used as a tool, and is in no way flashy, not lots of different uses.
If I have level 1 Parry I can only parry once? Does level 2 cost me 2 creation points? No no no, different levels are required to defend against feats/skills that DONT add dmg.
Did you mean for Brittonians to cost the same amount as Empire? No, Brittonians are under the Empire-men
How benificial is the bonus from your Economic status? There are few creation points to spend, and it's hard to know exactly how important your social class is. How difficult is it to get 6 creation points to increase your class later? Later when the game gets off of the ground, It will determine the evently income that you automatically aquire.
Do I spend skill points to use skills? Is there a difference between skills and feats? Do non casters have any use for sp? Yes, skill points and spell points are just different names for the same thing. Skills/Feats are interchangeable, and Yes
Berserk says it has a negative bonus to your hp...what is the negative bonus? The level of the Feat/Skill
Resist says it only counters damage feats, but barrier dosn't. Does that mean barrier counters non-damage feats also? Yes, potentialy, its on a case basis.
When can I Take what? Can I take something at any point when not engaged from someone's hands? Do they know I took it? Does this mean I can't actually take something out of someone's hands? What if my character could in-game force it out of their hands? Is there going to be a feat/skill to do that? Taking is intended for use against enemies, rogues should PROBOBLY not be stealing from other players. You can not take something out of someones hands while they are looking at you, if they aren't you may, but only if your not engaged with them. Yes they know you took it if you take it from their hands, if you took it from a place on the ground or a desk than they have to wait 30 seconds to act.
There's a penalty to not using a weapon you're proficient with, what if I use a shield? How much training does it actually take a person to use a shield anyway =P? Shields are used like weapons, and size influences point, you MAY NOT use a shield unless proficient unless you use no weapons, and even then you may only use ONE shield. Tower shields may NOT EVER be used without profficiency.
Can I have a shield on my arm and still use a 2-handed weapon or a polearm? No
Under combat system it says polearms deal 3 damage and four arm weapons deal 4, but under weapons it says 2 handed weapons deal 3, and polearms deal 4, and dosn't mention four arm weapons. Will there be an easy way to distinguish between 2 handed and bastard, and does a bastard sword deal two damage if I use it one handed? Why does it cost more points to become proficient with a two handed weapon than a one handed one even though in reality a two handed weapon isn't thrice as difficult to use. For simple game mechanics, it may change later but at the moment it works like mentioned. 1 hand = 1 dmg Bastard = 1/2 dmg 2 hand = 2 dmg Polearm = 3 dmg 4 handed weapons = physically impossible to wield
Is there any way I can use two weapons at once? Do I take proficiency in the weapon twice, or does once suffice, or can I not do it at all? Once suffices if you can wield one, we assume you can wield 2
Does the description "bastard" mean what it means in reality, 1 or 2 handed, or does it only apply to the damage? 1 or 2 and damage respectively
What are the specifications for boffers? 5/8"s foam must be used, PVC is varied depending on preference, must have appropriate tip and pommel, I am weapons Marshall and I reserve the right to decline item cards on any weapons at any time.
Can a sword be peircing or slashing, or both? Do I have to pay for it twice for it to be both? Do I have to use it properly for it to deal damage? No it cant be both, no you dont have to use it properly all the time, but its good roleplaying to do so. Its mostly used to group weapons into 3 groups.
Does my thrust with a piercing weapon get the +1 bonus even if I slash with it? Yes
What happens when my HP reaches 0? Can it go below 0? Can my character die? Can they be resurrected? At zero you are unconcious immediately, suffering 2 more strikes or 1 strike when "killing blow" is declared = death. You may be ressurected by a Light or Dark Harbringer, and they will know the specs for it, For the test play you must stand within 5 paces of your corpse.
With supression damage, do I go unconsious when the supression damage is equal to my current HP, or my max HP? Max it represents the amount of pummeling you can withstand before your body cant take it any longer
If my limb is severed, does it grow back? Do I lose my limb forever? Unless a harbringer uses a life spell to bring it back, or you use some kind of salve
Is there any armor in the game, and if so does it do anything. It's mentioned in the shield feat. If i'm not wearing armor and I don't have a shield can I still use the feat? Yes, unless you have no weapon, no armor, and no shield, If you have the shield feat it would be good roleplaying to wear armor as a knight, although it is not required.
Is it just me, or does rally suck? Does the bonus increase for the level of rally you have? Yes, otherwise it is TOTALY useless
What kind of spell a touched ranged spell? (mentioned in parry). Are there going to be lots of spells...? A spell where the caster touches the target, either with a weapon or their hand. No
When I cast a damage spell, does it just hit the person, or do I throw something at them, or what? Do I touch them? How far away can I be? You throw a spell packet or touch them with a weapon or your hand. At this moment there is no distance restriction on the spell range.
Finally, what happened to not having levels =P? It is still written although it is going to be strongly un enforced (figure that phrase out) For the basics of NPCing we still have it in the game for now
Sorry about all those....hope you have fun answering all that. For the record, I think it may be a good idea to write the rules more clearly at some point.
P.S. Mike, we were hoping we could get you to NPC...

Heh, I already have more questions for ya. Don't ya love me? =P In cheap shot, it says "like any other damage feat." Does that mean it does lvl of feat + weapon damage? Does it work like in portal in that they can't defend themself? What's the difference between using a cheapshot to hit the foe and help my friend, vs just hitting the foe to help my friend? With rally, does it do anything to help casters in casting? With Hide, can I talk? It dosn't say that one can't, or that it would end the hide. Can I make any kind of noise? Can I cast a spell? Can I go to sleep? Is there any time you can't use sneak, aka, does it actually have to be as the name implies, sneaky, or can I just use it like a wound? Can I parry with a shield? Is sever a melee feat? Is hurt? Do the hits also deal damage? Can I parry them? Can I resist them? Can I shield them? Can I barrier them? Is 15 creation points a lot? Can I use a defensive feat on anything other than a damage feat? "Wound gets- a " I think you meant to have "Wound- gets a". Sorry, it bothered me. I think a bunch of words/expressions that are being used should be more clearly defined, or defined somewhere in addition to the middle of a feat description/paragraph. As written you, you can't look up the answers to questions, because there's no way to guess where the answer may be. To find out what defend and dodge do, I have to read them and read parry. To find out about HP, I have to read all of combat. For an explination of damage/defensive feats, I need to look at the end of combat, and it's not very clear....Here are some of the words/expressions I think need clarification feat skill damage damage feat suppression damage hit points magic points skill points creation points offensive feat defensive feat unconsious slash bash peirce all of the races all of the classes/subclasses economic system economic class alignment Dmg+ Negate Non-combat Attk spec Dmg mod spell cast sphere resurrect death arcana melee mend (mentioned in the hurt feat) useless (in reguards to a hurt limb) severed (how it should be roleplayed) severed vs hurt (the difference if there is one, or clarification that there isn't a difference) ranged touch GM PC NPC I just noticed that with all the defensive feats....it dosn't say if you can use it after you've already been hit or not. I was assuming you can, but remembering this is a new game, I thought I should check (and you should clarify for future newbies). Ok, sorry i've been an ass and given you guys sooooo much work, but I think we all want this game to be the best experience we can make it, and I have lots more. A potential problem I see: Tons of people using two 1 handed weapons because it costs less than any of the other weapons but is no less effective, and it would cost more to be able to use a shield (which if you ask me should cost less than being able to use 2 swords) What are these useful spells you speak of but don't have posted on the site anywhere? What are the specific specifications of the boffers, like what does a 1 handed slash have to be etc. Can I use a lvl 1 parry to stop a lvl 3 sneak? Does the person have to announce the level of the feat in addition to the damage? Does it cost me 3 sp to use the sneak, or 1, or can I pick 1-3 depending on how much damage I want it to do? Can anyone announce a killing blow? "You may be ressurected by a Light or Dark Harbringer, and they will know the specs for it, For the test play you must stand within 5 paces of your corpse." What if I want to be a Harbringer? How do I know what to do/what does what etc? you skipped one of my Q's earlier: Why does it cost more points to become proficient with a two handed weapon than a one handed one even though in reality a two handed weapon isn't thrice as difficult to use? "With supression damage, do I go unconsious when the supression damage is equal to my current HP, or my max HP? Max it represents the amount of pummeling you can withstand before your body cant take it any longer" But if i've lost hit points, wouldn't I be injured and therefore unable to withstand a much damage as normal? What weapons are in what groups? Are any in both? Can I cast any spell as a ranged touch spell? Just so you know....every single answer you've given...should be added to the rules, because I've only asked things that aren't there already. I'll NPC, as long as you don't hate me too much for asking so many questions and having so many comments

Did you mean for Brittonians to cost the same amount as Empire? No, Brittonians are under the Empire-menOops! Sorry, that was my mistake. I must've accidently copied and pasted the wrong thing. I fixed it. error: 3 at creation / 6 normally its really: 2 at creation / 4 normally to be a Brittonian. Thanks for pointing out that mistake. Let me know if there's anymore.

hey, that was alot of questions, and i have alot of answers, so this will take several posts to get them all on here . . . here we go:
In cheap shot, it says "like any other damage feat." Does that mean it does lvl of feat + weapon damage? Does it work like in portal in that they can't defend themself? What's the difference between using a cheapshot to hit the foe and help my friend, vs just hitting the foe to help my friend?
Yes, lvl of feat + weapon damage. Yes you announce cheap shot and hit them for the damage directly, they can counter the feat with a defensive feat such as Dodge, but if they fail to use a defensive feat they take the damage directly. The difference between using cheapshot to help or not using it is simply this, you deal more damage to the npc they are engaged with.
With rally, does it do anything to help casters in casting?
No.
With Hide, can I talk? It dosn't say that one can't, or that it would end the hide. Can I make any kind of noise? Can I cast a spell? Can I go to sleep?
Ah. Good loop hole. No, talking or moving will end the hide, noises end the hide as will any kind of attack. No, if your asleep you don’t count as in hide.
Is there any time you can't use sneak, aka, does it actually have to be as the name implies, sneaky, or can I just use it like a wound?
Sneak is just like wound except for thieves.
Sneak is a double class feat now
Can I parry with a shield?
Physically sure, however you cant use the feat unless you have a weapon in hand.
Is sever a melee feat? Is hurt? Do the hits also deal damage? Can I parry them? Can I resist them? Can I shield them? Can I barrier them?
Sever is a melee feat, as is hurt. No they don’t deal damage to hp. No you can not parry them. No you can’t resist them currently. Yes you can shield them however you must realize you will then take their effects. Yes you can barrier them, in fact I think it specifically says you can under the description of barrier.
Is 15 creation points a lot? If it is, why would someone put so many in Arcana having ABSOLUTLY no idea what it does? What does it represent in game?
Yes 15 is a lot. Arcana is very very good, take my word for it, take a gm’s word for it. In game it represents a lot of hard studying to get a very powerful spell, hence you have to take a lot of time to build up to lvl 5 before you get any benefit.
When is an "engagement" officially started/ended?
First blow swung, till some one dies or runs.
Can someone use misdirect while engaged?
No, it's a non-combat feat, says so under the class section, and it always has to be a reasonable direction, so if you wanted to be like misdirect you don’t want to attack me you would have to give a feasible reason.
Does casting a spell take any time?
Casting damage spells, no, casting some of the other spells which haven’t been worked out yet, probably yes.
"Damage feats will add to the amount of damage dealt, and defensive feats will negate that damage" - Does that mean it only negates the extra damage, or all of it? Can I use a defensive feat on anything other than a damage feat?
All of it, and yes assuming you use a feisable feat for the situation, ie using parry to negate the damage from falling a large distance wouldn’t work, however something like a dodge to negate the damage from a bolder falling on your head would work. Defensive feats also work against normal attacks, however have no effect on magic damage.
"Wound gets- a " I think you meant to have "Wound- gets a". Sorry, it bothered me.
I’ll let scotp know

part two:
I think a bunch of words/expressions that are being used should be more clearly defined, or defined somewhere in addition to the middle of a feat description/paragraph. As written you, you can't look up the answers to questions, because there's no way to guess where the answer may be. To find out what defend and dodge do, I have to read them and read parry. To find out about HP, I have to read all of combat. For an explination of damage/defensive feats, I need to look at the end of combat, and it's not very clear....Here are some of the words/expressions I think need clarification
feat – A skill your character has and can use at the appropriate time by announcing the feat name. these represent things which normal people in the land can not do, represent how powerful you are in a general sense, ie the higher lvl feats you have the more powerful you are. skill – Abilities damage – drops your total hit points damage feat – a skill which drops the hp of the npc or thing it was used on suppression damage – damage which has no effect on your hp but can knock you unconscious if you take to much hit points – the representation of how tough you are, how many hits you can take before going down magic points – a representation of how much magical force you can channel through your body skill points – a representation of how much endurance both mentally and physically you have for performing the feats which make a good hero even more powerful creation points – experience, these are the things you get for participation, these are what you use to lvl up your skills offensive feat – feats used against other people/beasts defensive feat – feats used for self-preservation unconscious – in game being unconscious means you’ve been knocked senseless and have no idea what is going on slash – a swinging blow with a blade with intent of making a long cut on the thing your swinging at bash – a clubbing swing designed to make things go squish pierce – a stabbing blow designed to make a deep wound all of the races - um . . . oh I get what your asking here: Halfling – a race of short humorous humanoids, around half the size of a normal man, hence their name, with a fondness for good drink and good weed. Elf – An ancient race of tall, thin, graceful creatures formed of magic. They are very in tune with nature and magical aura. Dwarf – A mining race, who love a good ale and are known for their metal work. Human – Your every day normal human, this is the race by which all others are measured. Ogren – Huge hulking creatures, not all that bright but they make one hell of a warior. They have next to no magical affinity, barely enough to even understand that it can hurt. Skyven – Shorter then a Human and a lot more twitchy. They are rat like people with whiskers, tails, big ears, small noses and messy matted hair, in short they look like a cross between a rat and a Human . . . ew . . . Troll – Larger then a Human but shorter then an Ogren, they are strong tough and surprisingly intelligent. They have some affinity for magic and nature, but tend to lean to physicality to solve their problems. all of the classes/subclasses – Most of the classes/subclasses are self explanatory, the only things which might benefit clarification are . . . Clerics are warriors for the king and Paladins are warriors more just for good in general. economic system – this is your status among the people, the higher you are the more gold/items you will receive at each event. I think this Is all covered under the Economic System part of the rule book . . . is there a specific question you had? economic class – Economic System part of the rule book . . . any specific question? alignment – As it is set you can only be of a good or neutral alignment, good meaning you are for the king whole heartedly Down with the forces of evil! And Neutral meaning you are more out for survival but count for the time as being hired out by the king. Dmg+ - A damage modifier, will add the designated amount of damage to your next swing. Negate – Um, to stop/halt/ignore the effects of something. Non-combat – may not be used when engaged. Attk spec – this feat has special rules with regards to being engaged or not. Dmg mod – modifies the amount of damage a feat or swing will do. spell – for the purpose of test play, spells are simply magical damage. cast – this I know is under Magic System of the rule book sphere – this is also under the Magic System of the rules resurrect – To bring back to life, at the loss of exp. death – when you reach -1 hp, you can do nothing in game except wait for a passing harbringer to raise you, or head back to a raising location leaving all your in game possesions where you died. arcane – magical melee – close combat, as in with a sword or axe or other such weapon. mend (mentioned in the hurt feat) – this will be a spell used specifically to mend hurt lims, not sure at this moment who will have access. useless (in reguards to a hurt limb) – can’t hold anything, can’t move of it’s own power, can’t fight with it, can’t eat, can’t really do anything with it. severed (how it should be roleplayed) – well you just got your arm cut off how would you feal . . . I would suggest lots of yelling and running around screaming, however in extreme circumstances some warriors intent on battle and the blood of their enemy have ignored the pain and continued to fight. Sever should pretty much halt the confrontation, as should hurt, for at least several seconds. severed vs hurt (the difference if there is one, or clarification that there isn't a difference) – difference, one cuts a limb off, one leaves the limb mimed and useless, not much of a difference really. ranged touch – wa? Touch range . . . is how far you can reach with your arm to touch them . . . GM – god . . . er . . . I mean . . . “Game Master” PC – player character NPC – non player character, people who play the evil in the land.
I just noticed that with all the defensive feats....it dosn't say if you can use it after you've already been hit or not. I was assuming you can, but remembering this is a new game, I thought I should check (and you should clarify for future newbies).
Yes, defensive feats are generally used after you have been hit, however if your running into an engagement say, you can call a defensive feat to negate the effects of the first time you are hit.
Ok, sorry i've been an ass and given you guys sooooo much work, but I think we all want this game to be the best experience we can make it, and I have lots more.
A potential problem I see: Tons of people using two 1 handed weapons because it costs less than any of the other weapons but is no less effective, and it would cost more to be able to use a shield (which if you ask me should cost less than being able to use 2 swords)
You have to keep in mind, not many people can actually use more then one weapon very effectively. If people want to try, go for it, in many cases they will find it mor annoying then anything.
What are these useful spells you speak of but don't have posted on the site anywhere?
Still being worked out, hence not posted yet. Posted under feats page.
What are the specific specifications of the boffers, like what does a 1 handed slash have to be etc.
Uh, it’s rather open to interpretation, but all weapons will be inspected by Captain, if you have a specific question about a weapon, he’s the one to ask.
Can I use a lvl 1 parry to stop a lvl 3 sneak? Does the person have to announce the level of the feat in addition to the damage? Does it cost me 3 sp to use the sneak, or 1, or can I pick 1-3 depending on how much damage I want it to do?
Uh . . . I’ll get back to you on that, pm me please. Sneak is a double class feat now. Aside from that, No you can not use any lvl 1 feat to block a higher level feat. Yes the person has to announce the lvl of the feat in addition the the damage. Yes a lvl 3 feet would cost 3 sp to use, and you can choose to use a lower lvl feet, at a lower sp cost, however it would also lower the power of the feet.
Can anyone announce a killing blow?
Everyone, announce killing blow 3, killing blow 2, killing blow 1. this only works when the target is incapacitated.
"You may be ressurected by a Light or Dark Harbringer, and they will know the specs for it, For the test play you must stand within 5 paces of your corpse." What if I want to be a Harbringer? How do I know what to do/what does what etc?
Ask a Gm specificly. Posted on the feets page.
you skipped one of my Q's earlier: Why does it cost more points to become proficient with a two handed weapon than a one handed one even though in reality a two handed weapon isn't thrice as difficult to use?
Longer more unwieldy, it takes more practice.
Current Hp. Actualy you have to take suppression damage = to twice your current hp.
What weapons are in what groups? Are any in both?
Ask Captain with any specific questions, no none are in both.
Can I cast any spell as a ranged touch spell?
currently, yes.
