1. What size Pvc pipe is used?
2. What type of foam?
3. Is armor aloud to be real metal?
4. What other things can be used as armor
Basicly I'm asking cause there is a chance My Dad can get large amounts of this stuff for free.

Yay someones asking questions i've told the GMs several times that we need on the site. Cause Newbs will need to know. I have yet to get formal information but from my experience this is what i'd say: 1. 3/4" for long weapons(basically anything longer then a long sword i'd say) 1/2" for others. 2. The correct Foam is odd and slightly hard to find. It's thicker then regular foam(As me and the other veterans have learned from our first larping experience). It's 5/8" Polyethylene Foam Insulation. But make sure its made for 1/2" or 3/4" pipe. Respectively. so it fits the pipe you're using. 3. Metal is allowed. And actually somewhat encouraged as its more realistic. However, keep in mind its more expensive, and if you hear lightning run! Plus its heavier. 4. As for other types: leather, cardboard, or plastic are exceptible. I normally use cardboard as its the most modable, and actually keeps you warm unlike reg armor. Keep in mind you'll need to cover cardboard with duct tape, else it'll fall apart in the rain. Casey uses Plastic from barrels/drums for his old sheild and his armor. The new sheild is a plastic riot sheild. And leather is definantly realistic and also encouraged. As its light and none conducting of lightning. Brian EF and some others make leather armor if you're interested. Sample cardboard armor: www.trinitylarp.info/graphics/braceron.jpgwww.trinitylarp.info/graphics/claw.jpgwww.trinitylarp.info/graphics/armorhook.jpgSide Note: Once again, GMs I think you should give me estimate lengths for weapons. Like the size range for one hand weapons, two handed weapons, staffs, and pole arms just so people gety an idea. EX: dagger would be so and so length, etc... Finally: Trinity is glad to take free stuff, especially useful stuff like foam and armor.

This is estimations . . . not concreate . . .
1-handed = 8inches (Shank) to 22inches (long dagger) to 40inches (long 1handed sword) 2-handed = > 30inches to < 60inches polarm = 60inches to 78inches

captain will have to ok it but it should be fine. you need to have foam around the outside so if someone hits it they/there weapon doesn't get hurt, im not sure if you can use a sheild now but yeah you can buy the prof. for it.

Did they stop carrying it at Servistar hardware stores? I know I used to have luck finding it there once upon a time.

I have a 3-foot tube of it(for 1/2" pipe) that i'm currently not using if you need it really badly. I reccomend just ordering it.

No go on the Servistar Debbie. Good idea, but I haven't even heard of them, I don't think there are any near us.

Figures Sometimes the smaller hardware stores have it (smaller as in not Home Despot and Lowes) but it's not a common size anymore. Heck, 10 years ago it wasn't easy to find!
