Another suggestion (I'm fulla them!) of mine is that you guys offer up a short suggestion of the races available. I mean, there are some obvious ones...like Human. Aside from that, ideas change from larp system to larp system. Though I may regret it, I feel it is necessary to reference both Portal and DnD.
A prime example of Larp-al differences is that of Ogrens. Portal sees Ogrens as warty, green-brown, huge oafs who are too stupid to use magic, let alone string together coherent sentences. DnD Ogrens are bumpy, dull yellow to dull brown, lazy, coordinated, and more ill-tempered to stupid. Dreamworks LLC Ogrens are lime green, Scottish, reluctantly friendly, eat bugs, and have tube-like ears.
I'd be more than willing to offer up my own interpretation of Skyven, probably Halflings as well.
Ultimately, it's up the the GM's (it always is), I just think that it would help a lot of people out if a few things were cleared up. The updated Background Story helped a bit (READ IT NOW!), but a lot more stands to be explained.

Well, It's a lot more effective for me to treat others as if they have my attention span (read: that of a gnat on amphetamines).

Skyven: General appearance: As expected, that of a rat. They are covered in a fine fur, which ranges in thickness and color from region to region. All skyven have whiskers, a tail, and a rat-like nose, but the details vary. Skyven walk a bit stooped, rather like an old human, and the more feral clans tend to sneak or scuttle around, rather than walking regularly. Skyven have longer finger and toenails, but they aren't long enough to deal much damage aside form superficial scratches and the like.
Organization: Scattered to the wind many years ago, most Skyven groups (called "Clans") are headed by either a group of elders or in the case of the more warring clans, a military leader. In skyven society, every member has a place and a purpose, even if it's something so menial as a food-taster in times of peace. It isn't so much that they haven't any free will to oppose that of the leaders, it's that they recognize the wisdom in their decisions. After all, you don't get to live that long without learning a thing or two.
Relations: Skyven relations with other races depend mostly on their proximity with them. Skyven are not above integrating into a society for the betterment of the clan, as well. If a skyven clan lives near a settlement of a race, they will try to make an allignment with them. More often than not, these allignments are shot down, mostly due to the general view of skyven as filty beggars and thieves.
Equipment: the typical skyven equipment consists of armor fashioned from either thick tree bark, leather, or roughly-worked armor, and a weapon of bone, steel, or another hardy material. In times of war, skyven tend to be even more desparate in weapon-making, often resorting to slightly...unconventional weapons. They usually learn rather quickly and tend to stop using a particular weapon if they find it has little or no effect on a foe.
Other: Skyven have a short lifespan, rarely lasting over 20 years. Their religion is based from animism, the belief that everything has a spirit. Skyven mancers or harbingers are those who favor one type of spirit over another. The most common type of class, however, to find a Skyven taking is rogue, due to their inherent stealth and dexterity.

Didn't mean to just barge in like that, I just got really bored. Feel free to use any of that, it's just my take on them.
The information presented above is mostly due to the D&D campaign setting Oriental Adventures, Magic: The Gathering's Nezumi race, and actual rat qualities.
Sorry for double-posting, I just didnt' want to cram any more into that last one.
