Well I like Casey's property. It's good for larger events and its much more realistic. Plus if we fix it up and clear some land it'll be awesome. However, I dont like the distance to property issue. 4-5 hours is a bit much compared to my 1 min drive to noahs. Plus if we're gonna have more events there, Public ones..we'd probably need a bus or two to get everyone there. Or they'd have to brave the trip themselves by car. Plus we'd also have to build some sort of housing maybe for that many people. or they'd have to tent. Basically at the moment both properties are only good for about 15 people. We still need a property/camp near here where we can hold regular public events. Something within an hour range from here. Otherwise we'll have to remain Semi-public.

Jaykiss, Scoutcamps and such tend to make the best LARPing ground. So go for it.

Travel isn't a huge issue, price and insurance issues are. We don't have a ton of money, and I don't want to charge our players tons.

yeh I looked at delmont a long time ago. Not sure we could afford a lodge, maybe one of the camping areas and/or one of the lodges. The major prob though would be getting them to approve us playing there. THats a prob with scout camps plus we can't be there when scouts are there. www.colbsa.org/camps/musser/delmont/delmont.aspwww.worldlynx.net/drzollers/delmont/I'd say we could pull off a place like this if you charge around 10 bucks a player, with like 20 players thats like 200 bucks. THen make everyone pay an once a year insurance fee. The only problem is getting the scouts to approve.

Yeah I'd love it if this could be priority cause a whole bunch of sophmores are interested in Trinity and they can't play till we have land so. Yeah.

Have you guys checked out pine grove or the pine barrens? cause they would both be ok with it and are pretty big. The Pine barrens is at least 500 acres or more with no houses anywhere. except for of course the bathrooms.

Well the prob with Pine Barrens is that its in NJ. And besides the fact that many of us prefer not to go there, I'd imagine that if land there is availible for larping there, it is already taken up by other larps and by boy scouts. As NJ is pretty much the home of larping. Also its a good 1-2 hours drive there. If we're gonna get a location it be nice if it was close. I'd say about an hour radius. The farther we go, the less of us and peolpe from our area can go. If we went to NJ we'd probably end up with a bunch of NJ people. And the original purpose of this larp was to allow us to larp without going to NJ, and to make up for the loss of Portal.
