Alright, by popular demand, I've created...
-dun dun dun-
A bow system (and there was much rejoicing) -yay-
So, here it goes: -ahem-
At trinity, the sinew and roping that people have been using as rope for roughly 300 years has recently been refined in the public eye and put to wood to create bows.
Anyone can buy/aquire a bow, the same way that you would buy any other weapon. They have 3 proficiency levels:
Shortbow,
Longbow,
and Compositebow.
Now, these actually have NOTHING to do with your phys-rep, but the damage you are capable of dealing. Shortbow being 1, Long being 2, and Composite being 4 (3, sir) 3!
They cost 1, 2, and 3 points at creation, and 2, 4, and 6 points after. The thing that makes them different than other weapons IS:
Arrows- I don't want to run into a problem where we have people running around with infinite ammo, so I've made relatively restrictive rules for carrying ammo. Each quiver can only contain a certain maximum number of arrows, which is determined by the item card. A quiver must be a 10"-12" long tube. I suggest that you section it off and only hold packets in the top 6" otherwise you might not be able to grab them effectively in battle.
When you purchase the Shortbow prof, a skill comes with it, Arrow-crafting. This is at 1st lvl with Shortbow, 2nd lvl with Longbow, and 3rd with Composite, for no additional cost. What this does is allow you to create arrows equal to 5 x Skill level for that many SP. This skill must be counted down, from 10 for first lvl, 20 for second, and 30 for third.
I think that covers everything, oh, theres no limit to how many quivers you can hold on your person.
